I am just wondering why everybody switch over to the Supra pump instead of using the aristo pump beside the hydralic system for the fan which I make a loop so the oil just recirlcuate ? can somebody show me the picture of the actual pump inside and all the wiring diagram, someone said that it's a electric pump but I don't see the plug coming out off the pump

The pump itself is hydraulic but there is a solenoid on the pump housing which controls the hydraulic fluid/fan speed. This solenoid is controlled by the Hydro fan ecu which takes inputs from the water Temperature sensor mounted on the radiator, as well as inputs from the AC as well.
Basic hydro fan connection should included the inputs from the H2O temp sensor , power, ground,

A lot of people switch over since Hydro fan setup parts is probably harder to get or a special order item as well as the @JZ clutch fanbsetup is readily available.

so can I just leave the hydralic system alone ? or the hydralic also drive the water pump? what I"m confuse about is that I want to reuse the Aristo pump but I don't want to use the hydralic fan ?because I already have the eletric fan...is that doable?

Yeah like Tissimo said, just change over to the 2JZ water pump and Housing setup and then you can sell your Hydro setup to recover some costs.Thsi will be a better option for you.

i couldnt give away my hydro pump i had it melted for scrap.

its a pretty easy change you can do your timing belt and front seal while you are at it.

Damn you. I need one.

Ok, the Water pump, and hydro pump are one unit. People ususally swap it out for a non-hydro fan water pump beacuse then they don't have to worry about sourcing the other pieces of the hydro fan system, like the hydro fan ECU, the fan itself, the cooler, finding a place to put the fan's temp sensor, etc. Instead they just put the non-hydro fan pump on, and run a standard clutch fan, or an e-fan setup.

Aristo and Supra hydro fan pumps are not completely the same. The pumps are the same, but the outlets are at different angles, so unless you also source the hydro lines from an Aristo, it'll be more difficult to properly fit everything.

Running the pump without a fan is not a good idea unless you just have it passing through a cooler to cool the hydraulic fluid.

I ran my 1jz hydro pump w/o a hydro fan for about 100 miles before I had to park my supra due to turbo failure. The turbo failure was obviously unrelated.

This is just my opinion, but the temperature of the fluid is not the problem. As long as there is fluid in the system in a loop you should be good. Use a reservoir so you don't get air trapped in the system and cause foam. I noticed no signs of problems.

Having said all of that, I would change to a 2jz water pump if I ever had the front part of the engine apart for simplicity.

I am using a 1JZ hydro fan high pressure hose on my Aristo motor. I did not encounter any fitment problems, nor did I find the hydro connections at different angles. jza70 hoses did not need any tweaking. jst an fyi

Interesting. I noticed that the lower radiator hose fitting on the water pump housing was different, as well as the low-pressure hydro fitting on the pump itself, causing the high-pressure JZA70 line to hit it.

mine was the same. are you talking about 2j pump and 1j lines? or something?
