Retro fitting my 87 with 89 parts.

sounds like a great idea to me.

change out the ECU, tranny, injectors and the differential, itll be a bit quicker aswell.

no im talking about keeping an NA and just switching out the things that were improved as the years went by ie: tranny, differential and the injectors...for some slightly increased HP and speed. because the tranny was revised.

i guess if its not worth it then, i wouldve figured that better injectors and a revised transmission would make the car a little faster.

Wait.. the NA did not change over the years. If it did not much.. I thought you were thinking of GTE electroncs in a NA.

I thought only the GTE saw an increase in power from '89 on (and it was VERY small at that). And I'm certain I've never heard anything about the W58 having been reworked.

I could be wrong, but I think you're mistaken here MKIII N00b.

i know that, but im talking about the NA...the auto tranny gears got revised...which makes it i would imagine, accelerate faster.

I don't believe the injectors were up whatsoever in 1989. If you really wanted to do some real good for yor NA, Get your stock injectors(330's?) clened(professionsally) and advance your timing. MA70.Ent did it recentally.

Really, its not worth it. Does your supra have the sports package?

Yes, Yours is a 4.3 open differential, This is a 4.3 limited slip differential
