Retracting light are pozessed

My lights never worked right. The owner before me told me it was the relay so i bought one and upon putting it in i noticed that that one too did nothing, so i put the origional one back in. For some reason after i put the old one in it worked for like 3 weeks with no problem. Then nothing. I tried the old trick again and it didn't work this time.
What prompted me to make this thread was that tonight i was in the rain putting my lights up by hand (yay) and after i actually turned my lights on, one of the lights winked.
What does this mean?

leave them up and unplug your retractor relay...

they wont go down anymore, but they'll illuminate...

As i said before they worked for a few weeks and then stopped working.
Then last night one of them winked so something had to have been working only for a split second.

If you're going through relays check the motors and the wiring.

Good luck, since you can't describe a simple symptom, such as stuck down, stuck up, one up one down etc. etc.

Sounds to me like a broken wire some were, check at the relay connector

It doesn't matter where they are stuck because i have to manually move them up and down from day to night.
I am going to try checking the relay again today.

Well, thanks to the non-jerks, i got it fixed. Turns out that there was a voltage drop somwhere from batt to the #8 terminal on the relay.
