yes. it doesnt tell you shit about what valve should be open when the cam gears are at zero and crank being at zero.

Just line everything up, at any one time there are always some valves open.

BTW it is possible to put the cams in wrong.

It tells you crank is supposed to be at 0 and cams are supposed to be at the matchmarks with the pin in the center hole on the gear. Why would it need to tell you what valves are open? Unless of course you've somehow managed to screw up how the cam is put in to the head or your cam developped extra lobes...

I have had this happen on my car TWICE!!!!
