Resurface limit on head?

Was just wondering if theres a easy way to see if a head has been resurfaced too many times or not? I couldnt find anything under search. Any help would be appreciated.

it is not how many times, it is how much in total has been removed. Measure the deck to journal height and compare it to stock.

116mm is stock from the deck of the head gasket surface, to the camshaft sealing point.
