You're missing a puck-shaped filter

Looks like a awesome project! You're still gonna be 4WD with that custom tranny?

Yeah still 4wd. With 1.5 transfer cases. I have one 4 wheel drive selector and two low ranges.

So do both VSVs have the puck shaped filter? THat would make it REALLY easy to get another one.

THanks for the answers guys! I really appreciate it.

yes, both vsv's have the filter. is that an awesome 4-link setup i see? looks like you should get some ridiculous amounts of flex out of that rig. (of course, it's difficult to tell by the pics with no underside shots)

i was wondering what happened to this project, as i was following it. good to see you back at it!

edit: if i remember correctly, weren't you using full width military axles on this beast?

I so want to see a video of this thing crushing a civic in a race... and then driving over it afterwards.

You have such a nice and unique buildup.

Oh I will take it to the track. I want to race a junk modded N/A DSM followed by an equally modded 90s civic with a 1.5.... This rig otta be able to do 17s and destroy them.

Since this thing is a big rig... all I can say is "TURN UP THE PUMP" and you can pull more than 17's! Shoot... you have bigger tires than any drag racer I know... all that traction... lol.

Run over those slowports.

I want vids of this thing destroying some stuff so bad...

My wheel/tire combo is way too heavy for any good E/Ts... (1000+lbs)

this thread is sooooooooo OT

Anyone know the mystery plug or the two single wire sensors/switches on my coolant housing? (both have pics in the first post on page one).

I do not believe that the engine harness connects to the cruise control. It DOES, however, connect to the speed sensors for the ABS on the front wheels. At least I'm pretty sure that's what those are.

Well, just checked my car, and that connector, as well as another smaller one, isn't connected to anything on mine. My ABS works, so it can't be that. I suspect that the other smaller one that isn't connected on mine is for the TEMS, because it's in about the right place and I don't have that either.

I'd leave it be, I'll bet the engine runs fine without it.

Awesome. I will label it accordingly.

I started wiring the 7M into my project and ran into some issues. I found out that 1989 is the freak year for wiring... mine has half the 89 features and a few old ones still.

I need to tap into two wires in the C1 connector, which is a round gray connector on pre 89s and a square yellow one on post 89s (always described to be near the igniter). The two wires that I need are blk/or and blk/yel. My 89 has a round gray one that goes to the fuel pump resistor, which I am assuming isn't it (only has blk/yel). The other one is a square gray connector that there is a pic of in the first post, (it has blk/or and blk/yel). The rest of the connectors are not even close to being it, or plug into the igniter. So who has a better description of the C1? anyone?

Tomake things even worse, I have an original 1988 toyota FSM for the pickup/4runner, and it doesn't have the 3.0 V6, though it has the R series tranny that came with the V6. And my runner is an 88. grrrrrrrrrrrrr. (this is me ranting, I don't expect help on this issue here).

Confirmed to be one of the hybrids... square motor mounts and gray ECU plugs (half old half new). I unfortunately think this thread may have some more questions added to it soon.

and here is a pic rom Jason T (on this forum), that is a conversion plug from the yellow plug to the grey plug.... looks like my mystery plug.
