OK
so you could take off the resistor pack if you use the 1jz stock injectors or the jdm 2jz 440s right?

86 Sports 1jz - yea, that is correct, or even sard high impedance injectors

AZN MK3 - Take off the injector resistors or the resistor you have circled? When wiring in MKIV injectors they are low impedance and require a resistor or you will burn up your ecu, and the stock 7m resistor pack works fine for this and you usually have it.

ok but if you said that, the thing i circled isnt the resistors for the injectors and its on the other side right... then how come people are taking it off and where do i connect it to on the 1jz harness... could you send me a pic showing where to plug it up at... or how i can by-pass the whole low inpedance injector thing...

The fuel pump relay and resistor is wired to the body wiring. There wont be a plug on the 1jz or 7m harness. On my car I just moved mine into the fender to clean up the engine bay

do you happen to know where i can find a diagram for that or where to tap into those wires?? and if theres not a plug on the harness where do i get them from because both the plugs for the fuel pump relay and the resistor pack are empty... and i dont have a clue as to where they plug into....

EDIT: ok i see what your talkin about for the fuel pump relay i do have a plug for it... but for the resistor i dont... its just an open plug....

dont know if this will help you but its the yellow plug on the left side of the pic. there should be a yellow plug laying over there in a cylinder shape and it plugs into the Fuel pump relay/resistor

HUH??? ok... so thats the fuel pump right... then you said resistor.. is that for the injectors??? if so... what the other one that looks just like it on the other side of the car...(driver side) isnt that the resistor for the injectors???

the one on the driver side is the injector resistor. it has the boost sensor attached to it.
bottom right corner

ok but is there a plug for that on the 1jz harness??? cuz i know that the boost sensor is on the harness up left of the brake booster...

There is no injector resistor on a 1jz! If you want to install low impedance injectors you will need to cut the injector wires and install a 7m resistor.
You can see the connector for it on the 7m in the very bottom right corner of the pic above. It is not part of the body wiring on a 7m, the plug comes off of the engine harness.

thats for the MAP sensor

the plug for the fuel pump relay/resistor is NOT ON THE ENGINE HARNESS

its on the BODY HARNESS

Yup, its easy. It bolts cleanly to the intake manifold for a stock look and to keep the wires short.

I reccomend it over the MKIV resistor pack, and over radioshack ones.

The map sensor is at the firewall :icon_conf
And I was talking about the injector resistor, not the fuel pump resistor. The origional poster is confused, he's getting the two resistors mixed up.

yea... thanks bigarron.... thats what i was talking about... and that why i said how come i see that ppl dont have it on there cars who have done a 1jz swap... and my concern is do i have to have it or no??? and what will be the outcome if i dont have it plugged in???
