Hey guys,

I'm replacing my stock voltmeter with an aftermarket in stock location. I've put in the research and found that to get an aftermarket gauge to fit, people are cutting out the back of the cluster.

I'm confused as to what to do with the green film that covers that corner.. I see people have just cut that corner of it off, but I've also read that if any of the green film gets damaged it can cause issues for the other gauges. Sooo I'm stuck..

btw, what is the proper name for the "green film"?

Thanks

circuit film/board? anyways i had mine cut through the cluster, not a big deal as long as you have electrical tape at the back of the gauges or as long as its not touching. still working on mine as a project
search it in the archive section/write ups theres a write up on this and how to do it
