Check the TRSM. There is a SST they say to use, and maybe even remove the hub assembly.

But of course it can be done on the car with a "Ball Joint" tools set from Mac, Snapon, or Matco, or independent tool truck guy. I did it on the car with one of those sets I borrowed from someone.

Best way is to use penetrating solvent and a vise or a big socket (the size of the outer race) and hammer and start pounding until she comes out, just don't do only one side of the race otherwise it will jam.

Have fun, and oh yeah, Energy Suspension does make some bushings for our arms, except you have to mod it, as in cut it down to size, but it will fit. I will dig through my reciepts to see if I can get a part number for you.

:bigthumb: to the nashman translator!! ;)

I was gonna say, whatever you do don't break a wrench and crush your middle finger on the pinch weld. It hurts. Also, don't kick a stray jackstand across the garage. You'll probably lose a toenail also. :bigthumb:

i love the word hella

and fyi for everyone else its a bolt in affair... just be sure to have a breaker bar or you'll be bending a lot of (hopefully lifetime warranty) tools taking the old ones out

Ok, so are these aluminum bars just as good as the stainless ones? Iask because the steel ones weight 6lbs more, but if they are structurally stronger I would buy them. If you say the aluminum can take the heat just as well then I would buy them for the weight saving. Both sets are the same price anyway, I just want to know.

Nope even a low grade of Stainless is 90000 psi compared to the best Aluminium at 83000 psi.
