i should be picking up my shell this weekend and im wondering what i should look into replacing while it has no engine in it. the car has about 130k miles and has cut brake lines so im thinking new bushings and brake line kit. how much should i expect to spend on paint? (i have all other paint related materials on hand). right now the car is blue. im thinking either black , white , Grey / silver color. any recommendations? i dont have as mush time as i once thought because my dad has to get ALL the cars out of the shops once school is out in three weeks. i will be signing up for a summer school shop class at another school thought.

Personally I'd put any other plans on hold until you have the engine in, have acquired all the various pieces parts you'll end up needing for the job, and it's running right. Water hoses, vacuum hoses, broken knock sensors, broken vsv's & bvsv's, gaskets, engine mounts... the list is long of what you might end up needing before the swap is over with. Good ss brake lines will set you back roughly $100.

But that said, black is really nice if it's done right and you take care of it as it needs more maintenance than practically any other color. But I'd prefer a deep blue or gun-metal grey if it was mine and I was in a position to drop money on a paint job.
