i'm pretty sure that my CT is on its way out. On boost, it is one stinky bitch and i do see smoke. Last oil change, i didn't get the same amount of oil that i put in. So for sure i'm burning oil and i'm ONLY burning oil upon boost.

The car is stored now, but if i go ahead and remove the turbo do i have to drain the oil first??? if i remove all the lines will all my oil end up on the ground, or whatever oil is left in the lines??

Thanks,

You shouldn't have to drain the coolant either...the lines are on top of the turbo and run to the water neck and back of the water pump housing. You will not lose much coolant, but I would plug the lines anyway.

I've removed my turbo 2 times since my BHG repair... I think I got the method down pat. With my snake like china-man arms I can get to that oil line going to block off with no probs (better than trying to take it off the turbo first). Probably 20 mins or so for me to do it..

You shouldn't have to drain the oil or coolant, just get a rag to soak up anything spilling out of the turbo.
