there is no real reason to do this unless you are replacing the suspension with non-compatible shocks. just unbolt and remove. Very self explanatory.

so your saying there is no need for a spring compressor to remove them?

Ha I would like to see someone rip the whole TEMS circuitry out of the car. that means it will take you 7 weeks to take each wire out of a harness, take the dash out to, take everything out. Good luck with that!

Just unplug the actuators, remove actuators, and hide/tuck the wires away.
The only way to fully remove the system is to replace the shocks or go with coilovers, and trace wires back throughout the car and remove.
Big waste of time to trace all the wires back. IIRC you will have to pull off the fenders and pull out a lot of the interior to get to the wiring,
just hide the wires.

Pointless to remove the wiring unless you're building a race car.. My non-TEMS car has the wires and plugs for it in the engine bay next to each shock tower.

Let me clear this up. If you're just removing the tems actuators, you will NOT need a spring compressor. If however, you are replacing the struts, you WILL need a spring compressor.:aigo:

I believe the wiring harness for for all supra's have the tems connectors, as it's less expensive to make one universal setup as opposed to multiple setups. You will have to move the computer over though. I could be wrong though, like I said that's just my belief.

4 hours actually.

Not that difficult to do. Hardest part is unwrapping the said harness from the tape/tubing that toyota uses.
