hi guys, firstly i'd just like to say hello as i'm new, and commend you all on such a great forum; a priceless resource that i've lurked for the past few months for solutions to my little supra issues. up until now i've always been able to find the answers in previous topics but this one doesn't seem to have been covered

i'm in the process of replacing the hg on my 1990 n/a manual, and i want to get rid of the factory fitted alarm. it's never worked since i've had the car so i might as well bin it, and i'm not really that bothered about having the car alarmed.

so can anyone tell me how to rip it out and ensure the car will still start? i know there's a splice in the loom (green wire) that breaks a connection to the harness and re-routes it through the alarm harness. is it simply a case of re-attaching this wire to its mate and then removing the alarm controller etc?

i'm just worried that i'll miss something like a start disable relay or whatever.

thanks in advance for any relevant advice
