I am looking for the thread about changing the oil pan gasket without having to pull the motor. I dont remember if it was here or the other forum, but i figured i would ask you guys first. I remember it having pictures in it, and talking about the room to work with, but now that i am looking for it, its no where to be found. If someone could provide me with the link that would be great. Thanks in advance.

35* isn't cold. i've been fixing a BHG on my pickup in my driveway, which is in the shade slowly all week. it's not bad. double up on clothes. i'm in NY, by the way. ;)

Regardless of the fact that the Search technique was clearly not used, there is no oil pan gasket according to toyota. The part number refers to using gasket-in-a-tube which is sold by toyota or any number of places. I would recommend The Right Stuff, available at most local parts stores.

If you use a cork gasket on this you will be doing it again in an amount of time that equates to soon. :)

Uh, it took me all of 30 seconds to find that link I posted that CLEARLY explains WITH PICTURES how to drop the oil pan. You didn't search.

I actually did. I dont want to make an argument about it, it pisses me off when people dont search, so I search before posting anything new. Maybe you just got lucky with the wording. Thanks for the link.

I just did your searches. I searched different terms. But no point in arguing over something stupid. Lock please.
