Removing engine help

Can someone explain where the 2 heater hoses are?
It says one is by the brake booster and the other is by the charcoal canister. I see one hose that runs from behind the charcoal canister, behind the engine, to he firewall near the brake booster, but I don't see another hose?
Also, to the left of my exhaust manifold there is 6-8" of pipe with a bolt in the end of it, the pipe has a reddish color to it. Any idea what it is and why it's capped off?

I can't be much help. My car has not been together for a year now, and I havn't seen it for 5 months since I moved. I barely remember what it looks like
