I pulled all the factory protective loom and sheathing off of my harness over the past few days, and today decided to clean up the harness a bit by removing wires and such that were no longer necessary.
I was working with my TSRM today, and following the pinouts I traced back a bunch of wires no longer necessary to me that I plan to remove.
My question is, will I cause problems by removing the EGR VSV wire, FPR VSV wire, CSI time switch and CSI wire? (others, too. I just can't think right now)
My main concern was the wires associated with the CSI. I don't want the ECU planning on something being there and giving me trouble. What I removed, I removed cleanly, so if ever necessary, I can reconnect without any hassles.
Another connector was for the heater VSV. I want to remove that, but wasnt sure if there would be negative consequences.
I also noticed that the 4-pin round connector that just sort of dangles near the fuse block underhood, wires into the injectors. Is this just a diag connector so you can fire the injectors manually using an SST? I imagined it was, but again wasn't sure. If it is, then I'm removing that.
thanks!
