removeing starter

hey guys my starter died a few days ago and an i tryed to take off my starter but i cant seem to get the bolt on top of the starter its the last bolt to come off but there isnt enough room to put my hands and get it off, any tips or tricks i can do with out removeing the intake manifold

A stubby box wrench on the front side and a few long extensions and a wobble socket for the back side through the trany tunnel (there is enough room).

Or the opposite, wrench on the back and extensions out the front of the engine, below the alternator and above the AC compressor.

One guy who knows what he's doing plus a single pair of extra hands can pull the starter off in under 5 minutes.

good idea i never thought about going from the front between the alternater and AC compresser, ill just use alot of extensions and get from there thanks, also is it cheaper to get it rebuilt or just get a new one

This is the best way I have found aswell.

12m opened end the little ones, or a 1/4 with 12mm socket.. it's decently easy, after you get the hang of it I do it to take off the auto trans on Supras.. when manuals though just pull everything.
