Seriously, if you are getting bad gas smells, you need to take a serious look at the state of the exhaust and tune on your vehicle.

Indeed. A stoich mixture is clean, just not clean enough for the gum'mint. I'd post the numbers but it'd be a waste of time. That said a faulty EGR combined with no catalyst could amount to a bit of stink under certain conditions.

As for "carcole" the poster is either confusing Vettes with the General Lee or he's thinking of the old pellet type cats. They had what looked like charcoal in them. Then again he could simply be an idiot. Based on his literacy I'm gonna go with that.

i have a test pipe on my na mk3 and it does the same thing yours does, smokes at a light if i down shift or drive it hard. its lightish blue.

but my piston rings might be on there way and i do have 2 exhaust leaks
