I'm thinking about getting a retractable mirror setup but I want to know if the relay that comes with it will fit in a USDM car and if it does where does it connect to in the car.

I'm not sure about the answer to this question but I saw what you wrote and thought I was suggest the following. Some guys wire the mirrors to the accessory on the ignition and when you go to turn the car on, when it clicks to acc. they will fold out. Then fold in when you turn off the car, just a suggestion.

relay box normally sits in left door connected to door harness

most people selling mirrors sell the relay to go with it... i have a set here complete but i'm awaiting on a previous buyer to get home and finally unpackage them and make sure they arrived safely heh

genius! I never got those because of the fact the switch doesnt fit LHD cars (sc300), but with that idea, that i like alot better then a button, i'll just have to do this :)

One downside.. USDM SC300 have heated side mirrors, the JDM have ultrasonic which doesnt work as good.

I'm kinda dumb when it comes to mechanics! So where is the plug on the door harness? Is there a unused plug on the harness in the door or do you have to hardwire?

if you were sitting in the car.... left side, it would be in the bottom corner closest to the door hinges... i believe you guys have a mirror control box there, it's just not retractable one and the plug is different so yes you'd need to rewire etc

(i'm not sure if toyota reversed the location of the box in lhd tho so it could be in the right side door)
