recalls?

from what im told by my toyota parts guy, there was a recall on the supras for the valve cover gaskets. if there was, i wasnt old enough to even know what a supra was, let alone a recall. :sarcasm:

i believe there was a recall on the differential because of the noise it made (the shutter i think its called, im not sure) (i have a 89 supra turbo lsd

my parents had it replaced for free but it still made the noise

i heard from a couple people that the 87's (wat i have) were recalled for headgasket and clearcoat. my toyota dealer didnt know- wasnt interested.

I think we should all take our BHG'd supras back to toyota and demand a recall / refund!!!!!!!!!!! that would probly put them out of buisness... Ha

That wasn't a recall it was an update bulletin. The difference is that recalls are usually a safety issue or a serious drivebility issue that u can get repaired at any dealership even if the car is 100 years old while a bulletin is only valid for repair when the vehicle is still under its warranty which for our supras is 3yrs.60,000km unless an extended warranty was purchased which i think makes it 5yrs. 100,000km and for our supras toyota only had bulletins no recalls so were stuck with bhg rear diff shutter i'm a service advisor at toyota so i looked them up already

pffffffffffffttttttt TSB's er warranty anything pays squat diddly when compared to reg. time. Toyo Tech here and I haven't looked up TSB's didn't even bother. My car runs good :icon_bigg
