rebuild help

so i bought a 7mgte off of ebay for $130. it doesnt have either manifold, turbo, or acceseries but i have all those missing parts so no problem there. it has a BHG and has been sitting for a couple of weeks. i plan on puttin the parts i have that it needs on it and dropping it in my car. i plan on going with a metal HG and replacing all the other gaskets. my question is should i replace the rings and get a hone? not too sure since its been sitting for a couple of weeks. and what about the bearings? it hasnt been burning any oil supposedly and didnt have any knocking. so let me know what you guys think or suggest, thanks

While it's out replace the bearings and check all clearances while doing so. Honing the cylindars isn't a bad idea either, and yes you should replace the piston rings as well. You'll save yourself a huge headache later down the road. Don't forget to deck the head and block for a mhg!
