My friend has a Greddy Type s BOV on a custom intercooler pipes but it doesnt seem to be blowing off at all just here intake flutter.

Im not sure if it is a real greddy or a knock off it came on the car when he bought it.

Just looking for some reasons it would do this car is still making boost seems to be running ok.

Any suggestions?

Which vacuum source is he using? What vac does it pull at idle?

Has he adjusted the screw on the top? I'd back it all the way out and try that as well.

As far as the screw goes i have played with it abit and it doesnt change anything. It does however make the car start to idle shitty and chug when you press the throttle down depending on where the screw is adjusted also have backed it all the way out.

The intercooler pipes are ran just like the stock pipes just steel and it is mounted about 2-4 inches from the thermostat closer to the firewall.

I will get a exact picture for you tomorrow.

Not sure on how to figure out what Vaccum Souce its using..
I can find out what the car is at under idle tomorrow.

Here is a pitcure of the same BOV the lower vaccum port on the BOV doesnt have a line attacted to it on his car.

I have the same 1 running only the top line. I use the stock line with no problems. Back the screw out as far as you can. Mine is out all the way with no problems ever.

geezus thats alotta teeing. from what i can tell from the pics. it is hooked into the wrong sorce. the bov is an important part of the cars intake, i would not combine it with anyother part of the cars vac distribution. the correct place to hook it is off the hard pipe inbetween the 3k pipe and coil cover. then on the other side by the tb it is connected to ITS OWN SORCE.

Damnnn, your supposed to use the bottom nipple if i remember correctly, You BOV may have 2 springs in it. Run it to the stock bov line location.. shouldnt have anything hooked up on the fpr line.

Nope top big 1. I have the same 1. Bottom 1 supposed to make it react faster i think. Never used it and mine goes off all the time.

Bov own line.

Boost controller should inbetween waste gate and turbo nipple.

Take all that nonsense and return it back to stock.

I agree with everything Hvyman posted, even the not sure on the bottom nipple part. I too, had this same BOV, and never used the bottom nipple. I never had any problems.

I also agree with starting over with all of that T-ing. Did I really see a line running from a 4-Way T running to a 3-Way T. How in the hell could you have any idea what was going where? And what is that red wire running to where your BVSV should be? I'm assuming the vacuum lines from that go to one of the T's now.

oh my... I think you need to review the TSRM first, then not let your friend who does custom intercooler piping work with this car again.. Problem is in your vacuum hose maze

Second port should be connected to line between turbo and wastegate, same as boost controller. It will stop flutter.

SO there should be a T ? On turbo side of the boost controler or the wastgate side of the EBC?
