Alrighty I have been working on removing the rear subframe for about 3 or 4 days now and I just got it out earlier this morning. Another member on here actually paid me a deposit for the subframe just to reassure me that he was going to purchase it b/c I didnt want to tear apart the car and not get it sold so anyways back to my problem.

I have the rear subrame removed!

It is all sitting on the ground behind the car.
I cant seem to knock the no.1 and no.2 suspension arms bolts out!

I am using a block of wood in front of the bolt and POUNDING it and just doesnt want to budge, I also tried unscrewing it but had no luck with that either.

I got the passenger side all removed and disassembled but the driver side is what is giving me problems.

Any tricks or advice anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Need to get this out today!!!!!!!!

are you talking about the eccentric bolts? (with the lobes for camber adjsutment?)

if so, they're seized, and you probably won't get them out short of torching them. i had this same problem on BOTH my front lower control arms. seized to the max. :( and they are a PITA.

your best bet would be to torch the rubber bushings, then pound the whole bushing out, then sawzall/hacksaw out the steel inner plate (if you need that out too)

yeah, i doubt that penetrating oil will fix them. i soaked mine with PB blast for weeks and they still didn't come off. heh, i ended up using a sawzall, and a cutoff wheel hooked up to my 60? gallon air compressor.

it still wasn't a fun job!

See thats crazy! I got one side off with just a couple whacks but the driver side is just stuck! I will try the oil, PB blaster, liquid wrench and let it soak for the night and try it again tomorrow.

I have no torch although I do have acces to some Map gas, will that work as my torch?

And what exactly do I heat up the entire area, bolt, frame itself and what!?

Thanks for the help so far, any other pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and the ebrake cables I do not have the SST to remove them properly at the rotor, anywhere to get around that.

Thanks guys.

i destroyed the bushings purposly so that i could get more play in the assembly to cut it out.

(though, i did have new bushings to put in...)

keep at it. it's certainly frustrating to say the least.
