Mine is right above my CD player. It's nice there because I can watch me A/F R's and other things and it's very easy to get to...As for the theives getting to it, well I guess I'm just taking my chances but they'll have PLENTY of fun getting it out of there!:)

Oh yeah, here's my "rear seat and the rest of it" delete. hehe

Rust? Nooo. lol. I've got Rhinoliner and the kit to lay that all down so it will be taken care of soon enough.

the NCC (nackers climate controll) vent would be the last removed item in my car!
:werd: I was going to say the same thing.

The box in the back looks nice though! I would never do that but your job looks pretty high quality.

BTW, where can you buy that spray adhesive stuff?

Great job. I've been meaning to do something just like yours. I drew up plans but I haven't had enough free time. I'm probably gonna incorporate my sub box into it. I need to find carpet that matches my slightly faded burgundy interior, that should be fun lol.

it looks like it took a a long time but as long as you have a jigsaw, a friend or two (yes i do have friends ;) hahah) and a couple beers layin around it wont take too long... like i said i was suprised that it only took so little time because i thought for sure it was never gonna get finished when i started... just be patient, measure everything right the first second third and fourth and fifth time and fit it properly... anyone could do it... i have no experience in making speaker boxes or working with MDF PERIOD so if i could do it, anyone can

thanks again for all the compliments and thanks red dragon for the explination on the PM and the pic that you prvided in the other thread that eventually led me to do this...

cardboard is your friend but even after that you have to do some trimming on the wood, i always cut it bigger than needed and shaved some off when i needed some trimming done, its better to have it cut big than cut too small, i said it already but PATIENCE is the key.

turbo targa life: for the bottom of the box i just took the padding from the bottom of the seats and i used spray adhesive to get it to stay to the painted floor of the car (after a good alcohol rub of course)... then i took what carpeting i had left over from the box, and i glued it onto the padding and whatever was left exposed on the painted surfaces. instead of cutting the carpet to fit, i tucked it under all the interior trim pieces, and under the cabin rug (dont worry its not bulging out anywhere) i figured it looked cleaner that way but of course you can do whatever you guys want if you decide to tackle this project...

So there is no wood on the bottom? phooey. I'm looking at doing pretty close to what you did, except I'd cut it into 3 sections (which it looks like you may've done). The mid section fitting exactly in the opening in the rear (the size of the hatch opening between the rear seats and the hatch), and the 2 side pieces filling in the rest of it. I'd use the center section to house my Infinity Kappa 12" and an amp, and the 2 side compartments as storage for...well for whatever I feel like storing :)

With my plan though, I'd have to seal the bottom of the box somehow. Whether it be with a whole shit pot of cuts and sanding to round off a section to cover the transmission tunnel, or some other means. I'll post pics when I start!

I WANT BETTER PICS OF YOUR BOX!!! NOW DAMMIT! lol

hahah ill take pics tomorrow cause i know for sure i'll have a digi cam available.. i'll open it up and show you whats under the box also... if you need to make a seald portion yo ucan always use fiberglass or something similar to do so... but then again thats even more cutting and sanding to do... good luck with your project bro and i'll post up some pics as soon as i get some

as far as how you were saying the top would be thats exactly what i did, the middle portion that opens up is as wide as the opening to the trunk and the sides just fill in the rest of the space...
