If that goes up from the bottom into the tabs on the LSD then yes that's it!!!

If this doesn't fix it, then I have another drive shaft. I'll try it.

Are we talking at the back of the Diff or the front?

It goes in from the bottom, srry the reply took so long I was working on someones PC. But it goes from the bottom of the Diff into the subframe.

You still need to check the Uni joint phasing as well doesn't matter if it only has 80k miles it's still 20 years old.

Well considering that is the only one that goes up into the subframe then that has to be it. I know two go in from the rear of the diff. and two go into the tabs on the diff. It was one of the ones that go up into the tabs on the diff, that picture had me confused.

True, I will, just going to fix this first, then see if I have some how twisted the driveshaft.

As I said earlier the missing bolt is a symptom NOT the cause..... :nono:

There is a logical progression to diagnosing a problem,(ie: a>b>c>d) you seem intent on jumping all over the place, it's very frustrating.

I understand, I'm not trying to jump all over the place, I was just trying to figure out the bolt, so while I'm under there today I can replace it. Then tomorrow put my other drive shaft in the car and check the uni-joint alignment for the one that is currently on the car.

Fixed it this morning. While I was under the car about to put the new shaft in there I noticed that three of the bolts connecting the driveshaft together in the center where just hand tight! WTF! I didn't touch these when I installed the DS in the car. Well I'm glad its fixed now.

I had three that were finger tight and one missing last month. SCARYYY.

Yep! The ones in the center are put on at the factory I never touched them and James got the DS straight from a car that had been wrecked but was pretty much stock and untouched. So I was shocked.
I say everyone should check these, I'm gonna loctite this fkers on thursday when I'm home in the garage.
