Hi Guys, I am trying to replace the ball joints from my rear hubs as they are knackered. Its one of the ones circled in the drawing below. Cant remember which one till i check 2nite.

I have tried heating it till its glowing red with a propane torch and then try and press it out with a fly press but no luck:nono:

Any ideas:1zhelp:

Get a bigger/stronger press? The TSRM merely shows using some special tools and a press. I'd bet a 20-ton hydraulic press would push them out. Finding the right sleeves for pressing is also critical, according to the pictures in the TSRM. Make sure you're pushing on the right parts.

I had no problem pressing any of them out. Regular 20ton shop press.

Shop press worked for me as well. I machined a piece of steel tube to fit on the lip of the ball bushing (also helped with re-install)
