i have just finished the front bushing install and now moving to the rear. i cant really find a write up for the rear bushing install. im wondering if i will just have to push out bushings or outer sleeves also. ive read where the bushing in the spindle has a outer sleeve as part of the bushing is this true and will that need to be replaced. im a noob to some suspension work so im sorry if some of my questions are stupid. just want some advice from more experianced supra guys. a write up would be great also any help would be great on installing rear bushings. thanks

i used the super pro bushing set and you dont need to replace the metal ring that is removed with the oem rubber bushing cartridge. just insert the blue super pro bushings into the hole and install. use the supplied grease. i also installed grease nipples.

i have superpro front top and bottom. the upper pressed out as a unit. takes a little pressure. dont burn out the bushings. use a press. then grease and install top bushings.

the lower a arms have the rubber inside a cartridge that is press in by toyota. there is a lip on the outside edge of the bushing. I could not get a press to push on the inside of the a arm to push out the bushing on the lower a arm. i took a chisel or large screw driver and bent the lipp over so i could press the bushing all the way thru. well no actually i cut the lip off with a cutting wheel trying not to cut the a arm. the removed back lip is in a pic 15s i think and a pic of the cartridge and new super pro is in pic 19s i thnk. one bushing had the rubber torn out and the sleeve remained. i cut a groove in the sleeve but not the a arm then bent the sleeve inward to remove.

because there is no metal sleeve any more the lower bushings just push in easy. superpro said that was fine when i called them on this. i also installed zerc (spelling) to grease the bushings. there are also pics of the installed bushings.

the last pic is of the front bushings installed and a removed front bushing.

got eveything put back together today and finally got to drive it. thanks for the help.

i used some threaded rod a few washers, bolts and a 2 inch diameter pipe to push out the bushing, i didnt have acess to a press so i had to make my own.lol i cut the sleeve the used a hammer and a cold chisel th knock it right out
