Take a look at ARZ's rear brake kit. It's been a while since I've looked, but he was in the process of making a provision for the rear brake since his big brakes don't have that provision normally. He was going to use a small cable operated caliper from what I remember...

I also think that buckshotglass did the same thing. He bought one of the earlier rear brake kits, and started doing this on his own. That is in his build thread somewhere back in last year, you'll have to dig for the pictures, but they should still be there.

Edit:: Just looked through ARZ's rear brake thread and he figured out a way to incorporate the stock parking brake drum.

There's nothing bad about the stock one, it does it's job perfectly. If your's isn't then you need to service them.

ok well the reason i wanted the locking calipers is because im setting this car up to be daily driven and drifted on the weekends
i havent had much experience with drum parking brakes im just wondering if they will stand up to that kind of abuse.

Dude.. Drum brake is > caliper lock. It is sooooo much easier to lock this way. 240 guys love to get 300zx rear brakes so they can have drum brakes too.

Ask me how I know..

Abuse? It is a parking brake, nothing more.

And there is nothing accursed about them.

Drum brakes = more surface area to clamp with ;)

Yep. When is the last time you saw a flatbed trailers with disc brakes? How about never.

they're always locking up their brakes around here, too. and my '41 dodge has 11" drums in the front and 14" drums in the back, perfect for drifting!
