Sounds like a boost leak.

Also venting to atmo can cause some cars to stall out when coming to stops or letting off to idle.

Haha that means its prone for dirt to get to the intake & turbo. Get a new air filter asap. One of the main causes of engine failure is dirt. Well thats what ive heard.

In concern to your first post I think hvyman is right. It sounds like the spring tension on your BOV is incorrect. Correctly adjusted you shouldn't have that problem. That said, I don't particularly care for BOV's as I believe they create more issues than benefits on a MAF/KVM based system. A recirculating valve is the way to go IMO. But to each their own.

I think it is the BOV not being recirculated as well. With my greddy type-s it would stall sometimes between shifts or coming to a stop and pushing the clutch in. It didn't matter on the spring adjustment much for me. When I had the Saab BOV mod it didn't die.

I have greddy type s. With it as loose as possible i get no stalling at all.

Make sure your isc is clean and working properly and it should catch itself.

its the BOV IMO thats doing it but if your fairly stock it could be your dashpot as well...check the tsrm for adjustment procedure....i think youll find its still the BOV

i have the bosch/porche/saab/audi BOV/BPV that i bought at a mazda dealership on mine....i dig it...seems to work well...only real benefit over stock that i can see is its metal internals over the stocks plastic internals...but the stock one is metal outside versus the plastic outside bosch...the bosch looks better in the engine bay to me though....
