i can't wait for that day to come.

would it be worth it to build a ge motor for response instead of power? go with lightened pulleys and gears, an aluminum DS, lightened flywheel and so forth?

If I do drop the 7m into my MkII I'm going for the aluminum fly wheel, and drive shaft. Engine mods will be simple, intake, header/exhaust. Maybe a little more juice(spark), not sure if that will help much though, unless some lets me know otherwise. From what others have said anything more than that and I'm talking bigger bucks, might as well turbo then.

after the things are done that are listed in this thread...I think cams and some mild tuning will really wake the motor up, I hope to get some results from my project.

after having my 87 N/A with a JDM N/A swap in 1998 for around three years now and tinkering with it and putting over $5000 into it it can move for an N/A and has had some pretty good street kills.. as far as 1/4 times i will know this spring
Edit: (500$ of that was on body work the rest was restoring and performance)

Everyone's going to tell you to turbo your car, so you can go check out the NA-T FAQ that is stickied.
