Well on saturday I plan to straighten out my whole wrong sized shims problem...along with a few other minor things. Its a tiny problem, really not much noise, but its enough to make me wanna fix it. I just want to know a few main things...

When using the feeler gauge to measure clearance, is this with the shim IN or OUT that I measure?

where does the cam lobe need to be posistioned at for me to measure the clearance?

What is the clearance Im looking for? (in inches or mm?)

Thanks guys. You're all always a huge help to me.
(I know there was a page in the TSRM explaining this process but for the life of me I couldnt find it :( )

Alrighty so I measure each one, lets say a few are over and under, then I take them all out and measure their size and calculate how low and how over some were, mix and match with math... and replace... got it....

lol fuck.

Well, good thing is all the shims are the originals, I just placed them in the wrong spot when I rebuilt her, so I know at one point they were in the right spot... hope they are all still right.
