Re-attatching windshield moldings?

Is it possible to re-attatch the windshield moldings without removing the window etc? can i just heat up the glue and shove the clip back in?
or can i use some kind of glue?

Cut out the old glue if need be and then reapply some new glue.

Good luck getting this to stick. I'm going to replace the windshield, now that the car has already lost several sets trying to make it work without going the whole nine yards.

i guess i;ll do this temporarily. with some polyurethane
