Rarity?

I have heard that true hardtop turbo MKIIIs are kinda rare... so i was wondering how rare my 87 turbo hardtop is if anyone can help me out

not to highjack someones thread, but I was trying ot figure out how rare my car is a while back. 91 turbo, 5 speed, targa, no tems, has all other options I can think of except leather. I know that only like 3623 were made in 1991 but thats it.

I think maybe 1 in 10-15 cars are hardtop. It's not something you really notice until you look for it though. But since I'm hardtop I keep an eye out for olther hardtops. I think the hardtops weigh less, good times.

hm... i kinda wanted a hardtop, but the targa's just too cool to pass up... i think the only thing my car (89 super red) came w/ out was tems (it even had 91 wheels when i got it, lol) i thought it didn't have abs but when i did the motor swap i found a mysterious black box behind my glove box... i was like, what's this??? turned out to be my abs computer, but somethings wrong w/ it, so it won't work?

undesireable or not i bought the car with a BHG and tore down to the block with all the peicses/parts to put back together with extras to go on the side for 300 bucks

After drving a targa with the top off... I was disappointed in the amount of flex the whole car felt like.

I suppose I'm spoiled from my HT.

targa off+stock suspension=the suck(flex)
After i put on some tokicos and a front and rear strut bar(rear is 4 point) , the open air feeling to body flex ratio went more into the plus. Dont get me wrong, you still feel a small amount of wobble over bumps and such but a huge amount less than with stock suspension. Targa flex is defeatable, next step to help defeat it will be a harness bar, to stiffen up the mid section
p.s. hardtop is only ~80 lb difference than hardtop

the sunroof isn't as nice as targa but it's still nice to have it open when hitting the highway and no pesky flex problems
