So who has any good ideas on how to screw in interior pieces when one does not have the screws the pieces came with? Or, for example, if the door sill screws are stripped out? I want to start putting my interior back together, but I am at a little bit of a loss... :aigo:

When I was putting my car back together (and had the same problem) I went to a local junkyard and raided a bunch of Toyota vehicles for screws, bolts, nuts, clips, retainers, etc. Got a toolbox full and they only wanted $2 for all of them! pick-n-pull ftw!

Question: What sized screws are they? Around here, the PnP's have NO SUPRAS, CRESSIDAS, and very limited access to other Toyotas. Why this place seems to be a black hole for Supras is beyond me.

Of course, 3~4 hours east is Hampton Roads, and it seems like everything they have are Toyotas... go figure.

I used some guerilla tape folded over to secure the door sills since many of my tabs were gone as well. The tape provides a simple low profile option. As far and interior screws go, luckliy there are only a few different types used throughout the entire interior. I had an extra dash handy and I was able to source all needed screws from it alone.

LOL We do seem to have a high amount of toyotas. But fuck hunting in a junkyard for screws that I don't know are needed. We also seem to have an interesting amount of mkiii shell's, but they disappear very quickly to god knows where....

I refuse to go out in the current weather, my car is making me go out in it often enough just to get her running right. And now I have to rewire my brittle O2 sensor wires. *bleh*

BTW, we are only 1.75 hours east of you. So nyeh! lol

there really is no hunting. you go into any toyota interior and pull down the glove box and you will see at least 6 screws that get used every where on the interior. even in the engine bay you can just start pulling random bolts and nuts and they will all fit somewhere. i place them in my tool bag as they arent going to charge you for a few screw nor will they notice if there gone/in the scrapper/or if i have them.

edit: that is if you have one close to you and you feel like driving.
