Ran across a Supra, what do you think of the price?

stock vs stock. auto is faster then the 5 speed.

actually no its not...the 5spd is faster if you are a half decent shifter. the autos run less boost stock then the 5spds. not much but still less...plus theres more drivetrain loss through the auto as well

all i have to say is that there is no such thing as an automatic being faster than a 5 speed....it depends on the driver to get all the power out of the 5 speed....

There's no rust anywhere else though. The interior is in fantastic shape. However, I can't get over the fact that it's an auto, and I would really like to find one with a Targa top.

Definitely wait if you're looking for a targa top. They're common enough to find in most areas. Also, when checking for rust make sure you're looking under the spare tire in the trunk. Good luck in your search.

But its more fun doing a high 14 second pass with a 5 speed then it is then a low 14 sec pass with an auto.

Anyway, I've had my fair share of both... and IMO Auto's are soooo boring.

unless the auto is the slowest shifting, slipping, low line pressure auto on the planet. theres very lil chance of beating an auto in shifting
