Not to say street racing is good but 2 16 year old kids being dumbasses is the dangerous street racing, smart racers will scope the area and be as safe as possible for the fact that they are racing, but yes it does suck, and taking it to the track is the smarter thing to do.

More dangerous is the "X Factor" the unknown/unexpected.

The more I think about it, I remember how immature and stupid I was at 16 and can't belive they give kids their liscenses that young. I was wayyy to ignorant to drive. but I guess in 10 years I'll look back and see how stupid I am today.

Drive safe!

They just upped the permit age to 17 and a half and License age to 18 in my state.
I agree, I was a mature driver when I got my license(compared to others I know) I had learned to drive when I could barely see over the wheel in my mom's Jeep on the beach.
But I was still far from experianced and still made dumb/immature decisions. Age doesn't matter in some cases, some people will never learn. But you do alot of growing up between 16 and 18.

theres a reason that almost every one of those cars was a mustang or an import, cuz those are the retards that race, anyone who goes out on a regular basis knows the way it works, almost all real racing is don from a dig on a good strip by muscle cars and notice that there wasnt a single old scchool muscle car in that whole vid. thats because just about every import is retaded when it comes to racing and thats hy the old guys hate us all so much, last year somthin like 4 cars were wrecked around here and not one of em had anything to do with the main drag, its idiots thaat try to drift or show off and weave in traffic, two of the affor mentioned accidents involved light posts so the bottom line is that shit happens whn ur dumb so be smart about it and listen to the old guys that race succesfully and dont die. BTW half those crashes didnt involve racing, like that ford expidition and stop trying to make the idiots among us look like every one of us just cuz ur freinds were stupid about what they were doing

^^ It's not always about the type of car they're driving, it's the driver behind the wheel. I don't care what kind of car you have, you're still the same person in a Supra that you would be be in an olds 442. The car doesn't make the accidents the driver does.

I drive an import, and I'm not retarded about how I drive it. There are sour apples in every bunch, stereotyping is lame.

saw a pic of mk4 head on at 75 and it looked similar, both occupants walked away. Most street racing acidents are caused before either driver goes, deciding when and where they do it is thier biggest mistake, poor driving, other hazzards and bad handling cars are another.

ur right about the type of vehicle not being the cause of the accident but in general people my age with civics, neons etc. are the ones that will be ripping around drifting or racing on streets that u should never go much over the spped limit on or racing n 2 lane roads with one car goin the wrong way or on the shoulder rather than goin to a safe, scoped location. where i live we have a main drag and because its so perfect and so well scoped every week there hasnt been a single accident this year, i havent been out other years but from what i've heard its always been a very safe spot but honda kids still run on the service roads and thats the kinda stuff that leads to people losing the lives

Operative words "Front on and Solid"

the first accident i mentioned was front on and solid, (well front to front 1/4)
and solid enough to damage every panel except the bootlid

My take on street racing is im not for it or against it.Its going to happen and your not going to stop it.And no one is putting a gun to the person driving and saying street race do it!Everyone has there own free will if they do it then be ready for the consiquences tickets, accident, and GOD forbid death. The stereotyping sucks and i know all about it ive been pulled over many a night cruisin with my girl at around 1am takin her home and i get on it to merge etc..and then there goes those lights. But yeah I know about the risks and everyone should from those who take there kids to school to those driving fast cars.My dad told me something when i got my license and its stuck to me he said when your driving anywere basically your controlling a weapon that can kill anyone at anytime so be careful.

I've got very little to say here, because I recently lost 2 friends due to wreckless street racing. The driver was being stupid and hit something, then submerged the passenger side of the car into a lake. The driver died on impact, and the passenger was knocked out, then drown while the car was half submerged. Very saddening.
1.) 89supturbo. You are a complete and total ass-clown fucktard piece of shit. Learn some grammar, punctuation, spelling and respect and come back later. That last "sentence" in your first post made me want to punch you in the face.
2.) I love how almost everyone has commented on "Poor -insert car here-". What about the poor drivers and passengers? What about their poor families? What about the paramedics that just had to scrape what could've been a family friend off the steering wheel of their new car? :nono:
3.) I'm very against the typical "street racing". If you want to get on it while cruising on the highway at 3am when there's no one else in sight, go for it--kill yourself being a dumb shit. For all the ass-holes who try to drag race on main streets where there's other cars around, or even the highway during even LIGHT traffic--burn in hell.

If you want to practice your "mad tyte dorifto skillz" then find a sanctioned event in your area; and don't try to tell me "BUT TTL THERE ARE NO SANCTIONED EVENTS IN -insert your area here-!!!!" BULLSHIT. They're everywhere. If you want to drag, take it to the strip. If you want to practice road racing, take it to the track. Period.
