i agree with Lee, simply because theres 3 or 4 swapped 240s around town one of which i helped with the swap. when we swapped the motor out the garage looked like F&F. we had an sr20det on a stand, and about another 6k in fmic, piping, exhaust, ebc, afc, turbo timer, downpipe, test pipe, etc etc.
we took out time doing the swap even though we ran into a couple snags, but got it done. its been on the road reliably for over 2 years never had a problem. until a month ago his slave cylinder went out while we were cruising. and some kid that was with us just happened to have a slave cyl. for an sr! imagine that! anyway, it seems like a lot of guys (or girls) just throw their conversion together, and thats where the reliability issues come in. but if its done right and maintained it'll be just fine!

This thread is hilarious because some 240SX guys were hatin on the 7M's when someone posted photos right after I finished my swap, its like a parallel universe. Most seemed to really like it but there were a few guys bashing the 7m for all of its issues, kinda funny.

Its here somewhere but I couldnt find it, their search engine sucks. If you can get it to work look for 7M and/or Datsun 240 Z that should find it. Lots of pictures of my swap there.

also thought i'd note it was the lightest of the s13's... around 2,050 lbs w/o driver

thought i'd also note that i have the heaviest of any supra year/package combo... 89 turbo, targa, 5 speed

not that it matters much but there is no way a s13 weighs 2,050 unless it is fully stripped and race prepped. my stock 1994 sentra weighs around 2200 and its lighter than any 240.

^^^You are correct^^^

There are several here in Phoenix that are stripped and gutted and they have a very hard time getting under 2500lbs.

I didnt want to call BS on the weight, but I guess I just did.

Specification: 2-door coupe , 2-door hatchback

Curb Weight, lbs: 2699 , 2730

these are the stock weights and i highly doubt he could dump 700 pounds in a simple weight reduction. It's possible you were lied to. this is my last post on the subject because i dont want to get into an argument.
