It's WHITE again! :)

And my image host is down so I can't show you...... :(

I spent the afternoon, and sanded down the hood, and the trunk, then threw some primer on a few areas. I also started the rust repair, took my grinder and my dremel, and ground down the rusty areas on the passenger side of the car, put some rust inhibitor on it, and started filling it in.

The speedo stopped working again, so I fixed it, again. The actual cable within the speedo cable is pulling out of the back of the speedometer. Something's stretching somewhere. I have a replacement cable, but I don't think it's any better. I just stuck a piece of shrink tubing over the tip of the cable. Works well until the grease starts making it soft.

My Supra SHOUD be back up and running this weekend if I'm lucky. The motor's supposed to be in Calgary VERY soon, and assuming I don't have to do any major maintenance to the new motor (like bearings), I should have it in the car in a day.

Did you find any 038 paint?
No, I just put some white primer on it for now. I'm still undecided if I want to keep the white or not. I had an idea today: Black with silver trim.

What did you end up doing to fix the Supra?

Call me if you need a hand or a spare part
I ended up buying a new motor to go in it. Should be here in the next day or two.

Edit: Pics!

Look, no more mural.

I no more rust on the door. Still a big rust hole to fill in on the rocker panel there though.

Apparently the guy who sprayed the car happened to drive down my street last night, and was like "Hey, it's my old car. Aww, the paint's gone"

Uhh... no they don't.

Starion wheels = 5 spoke split.
His wheels = 4 spoke split.

His wheels were factory wheels on the Celica GT-S (RA65) and Supra (MA61).

This similarity always used to confuse me before i knew more about cars (years ago)

I find it kinda odd but side by side they probably look a lot different. personally i like the starion's wheels better....but yeah just saying he's not the only one that has thought that. :naughty: :nono:

looking good rob!
