R154 Trouble

I don't believe this man. Once I was almost done pulling the tranny I notice a tiny drop of something on the bottom of the tranny.
Apparently the thing has been leaking out of the drain since last August when I replaced the fluid the first time.
Rebuild or new transmission time now. :icon_mad:

That drip must have been so slow because there was never any trace of lost gear oil anywhere. The redline must stick really well have lasted that long and having been so low. Gonna check for shavings later and see how much is down there. :nono:

Wow. I think with all that other leaking oil crap you had to deal with, this may have been overlooked. But at least now you found it, hopefully it can fixed with minimal effort.
At least that explains your tranny problem..

True, I barely noticed it as it is. I'm letting it soak in some gear oil for a couple hours hoping I can postpone a rebuild for a while. Maybe I'll get lucky and the damage won't be as bad as it could be. :x: :eek3dance
