R154 sparks from underneath car. Now ticking and vibration

Yea, I was lucky the PP piece didn't shred at a different angle, would've taken a chuck of metal to the thigh or leg if it did

All you can do is pull the trans and evaluate the damage. I've seen bellhousings be destroyed but you didn't know it until it was apart.

At this point my guess would be clutch disc failure or a pressure plate failure. Flywheel failures usually leave the car undriveable.

The Bellhousing is NOT a "Scattershield" its only there to keep crap out of the clutch and pp/torque converter. A Scattershield is designed to take the impact if anything breaks inside the bellhousing. Thats why his bellhousing broke its not ment to take the abuse of high speed shrapnel. Scattershields save lives, not bellhousings. If your running a high reving high HP/TQ engine Scattershields are highly recomend. Infact you cant enter certain races without em.

I think I might not have been very clear with what I meant. I was saying that a bellhousing at the very best is only going to mean the difference of how far the shrapnel goes into your leg.

Dammit... I think I have another thing to add to the list. Just in case, cause you know... I like my legs and all.
