How much power/ torque do you guys think the R154 can safely handle with a good driver and someone who doesn't constantly beat on it?

Get the RPS 3200lb pressure plate, and their RPS MAX single disc clutch.
AS for the transmission holding the power, there's no definite to how much power the tranny can hold. It CAN hold a lot. It's not worth trying to fit something else in there, you might as well stick with the R154, and try it out. Worst case scenario, you break it, get another R154 for cheap, and get it built.

"This is made to fit a 1JZ-GTE motor and a 1JZ-GTE transmission. It does not fit the 7M-GTE R154 Supra transmission. Picture here is of a Twin Disc for the 1993-98 Supra TT."
