r-154 in our GE's...

I'm currently installing a r-154 in my ge. motor is out along with auto tranny. any problems i should have doing this little swap? let me know.. want my baby running str8.

so w58 is not good for boostn for future reference? always thought the manual version would be better off

Khang: They're ok up to around the 400 rwhp mark if they're in good condition to start with but anything over that they're a bit fragile and tear up if you shift hard.

Beautiful box if you're staying NA though I put well over 100,000 km's on one and loved it.

Alex: The W series really are sweet to drive compared to the R's they just can't take the sort of abuse a healthy Turbo motor can dish out.

It's not so much HP that breaks em it's more the Torque a modern Turbo can make at low RPM/Car speed this really tears em to pieces.

R154 is a good way to future proof it if you're heading that way eventually.
