Crazy idea....Get a 350z or g35 and go to town and then build the supra with some of the far better options out there. Im all for the crazy stuff, but Frankensteining engines into cars is only fun when the engine in question is worth it. the 1jz and 2jz swaps are all the rage because they are wonderful engines with great aftermarkets and can make tonnes of power. Same for the LS engines. This is why so many different chassis's get these swaps because they are worth the time and money. IF the VQs were engines people swore by then id say go hard, but they are not. I like 300zx's but id only own one if it came with the JZ swap already done. Now if you wanted to swap in a VR35DETT from a new GTR then id be salivating. Thats one of the few nissan engines that actually kicks ass, but thats probably 50 K or more. One poster on here is right, working on these VQ's in tight engine bays makes a 7m look like a chevy 350 in a grain truck. Nissan knucklebuster supreme.
