It might just be me here, but the back of a mk3 just looks dopey without something there on the rear of the car, it just seems unfinished.

Well, considering MK3s have low value(especially an NA), I find it hard to believe you can get a GOOD QUALITY complete paint job from insurance. Good paint jobs aren't cheap. If that's what's happening, then it's all good and go for it.

My car is going to the shop tomorrow to start the job. I got a quote today, and all is good. He'll be painting it QS as planned.

Joe: Metallic colors are harder to match anyway, if he just repainted that one fender it would look darker/lighter than the rest of the car, even though it would be the same color...the bumper, hood, headlight cover and door would all have to be blended for it to look right which = $$$$. May as well just repaint the whole thing.

The shop is doing the prep work. They're also going to mount my stock lip for me as well, and re-do all of my trim. I'm excited about it.
