if a car uses a t3 turbo, does that mean that any t3 would technically bolt on and work for that car? not saying im about to slap any old turbo on my car but im wondering about the flanges and all that, sorry newbish but just wondering.

i was wondering the same thing because my freind had a rebuilt Garret T3 63 trim that he woulda sold to me for dirt cheap. But, as I was informed, the only direct bolton turbos out there are upgraded ct26's (57 trim for instance) and I beleive Greddy has a bolt on on as well.

Well there are many versions of a T3 frame / flange turbocharger. The t3 only refers to the foot print of the turbine housing.

There are many other variables:

-Intake size
-Exhaust flange pattern
-Exhaust flange diameter
-Overall turbocharger length
