I've used two different "C's" shifters, one was very worn, and only had one pin to locate the fulcrum ball, so it allowed it to twist. Basicly it was a very short throw, but not very accurate.
The second one is still in my car, and I'm getting to like it 90% of the time. Some shifts to 3rd and 5th are hard to make when shifting fast, especially when cold, but this transmission is like new after being rebuilt. A longer lever would be good for more tourqe when shifting, so there is more effort needed to get some gears fully engaged when drag racing and such. (Again, getting better as this transmisison is broken in.)
Mine had the upper rubber isolated section removed, so this is a very short shifter, looks great, but I'd like another inch or so to reduce the shift effort, and not really change the throw distance much at all. (Next time it's out, I'm welding on an extension, and bending it back towards me slightly.)
