Quick Question

Hey guys,

I used search but found nothing so here we go.
I was cleaning up my spare tire region after I had a bit of a spill. I was listening the the radio so the antenna was extended. I finished my cleaning and went to close the the hatch. The antenna had been hooked by the wing and the entire mast collapsed as the hatch came down. It snapped off completely and now there is just about 6 inches sticking up from the body. My question is can I just buy the mast part or do I have to get the whole assembly? I really hope I can just get the rising antenna part.

I appreciate that.
So all I will need is the mast? There isn't anything inside the mast? Because it snapped clean off. To remount the mast do I need to rethread anything back onto the motor?

there is a little plasitc rod that pushin it up and down inside the mast... well on othere ele ones i have take apart...

So I guess that plastic rod snapped off wehn it collapsed. So i need a new one of those? Are they replaceable?

better off eather finding another used compleat unit and just replace.. trying to fix a power antena aint easy and a pain in ass.. you can get a universal one or just get one of them little rubber ones and ditch the power antena all together

here is the link again. I have replaced both themast and the cable. If you like the idea of not having it protrude all the time its this way or eBay or the salvage yard.
Both items run around $41.00. Click on buy parts. Then fill out the model etc. in Body Parts. Then electrical. then antenna.

I replaced the whole assembly as the actual part that extents the mast was gone on mine, and it looked like there insides where a bit jacked...

That, and I've tried repairing an antenna on another car with a new mast and cable part and it stripped back out within a week...
