Hey, I'm kinda new to the whole turbo thing but i had a quick question. Do boost controllers and shimming the waste do the thing or adjust things. I know shimming the waste gate makes the waste gate take longer to open. And doesnt the boost controller limit the amount of vacuum that also makes the waste gate open or close?

Shimmimg will raise the base spring pressure...offers quicker boost buildup and higher boost pressures...cons...have to shim little by little as to not hit fuel cut or boost spikes...royal pain in the balls to get perfect as it's not easy getting too the wastegate actuator when your shit is hot...limited adjustability..
Boost controler...same shit but better! it doesn't let air into the diaphram untill it wants to start limiting boost...much quicker to tune and install...
