Quick question on clutch install

Do i have to remove the downpipe to remove my transmission? I would rather not if i didnt have to. I left my tsrm at work.

you dont have to. i have done it both ways. just remove the trans mounts and the trans will clear the exhaust. but it is easier to remove the exhaust.

roger. Going to do my clutch tommorow. Was just wondering because i dont really want to remove it, lol.

Might as well remove it and replace the gaskets if you don't know how old they are...

turbo to down pipe gasket is metal and reusable.

Reusable but not unlimited life, it's metal and can rust... My down pipe had 2 metal ring type gaskets. They were rusted and cracking, new ones cost a few bucks. Plus the down pipe to cat gasket could always use replacing if you have it apart...

Then again, I'm the type of person that if I have it apart I might as well replace stuff as preventative maintenance.
