Will the trim look proper if I still have my pre89 tails? Or will it look "unfinished" because I wont have 89+ tails with the trim piece that is on the center tail light.
Quick question about using 89+ trim on a pre 89 car.

The only way I know of to do it 100% properly is to get a rear centre piece from Switzerland 89+ cars, as they had the new trim with the old tail lights and narrow plates (unlike the rest of Europe). I have one sitting around for just this purpose. I swear it will get installed one of these years.
Other than finding one of those, anything else won't be quite right, unless you install the 89+ tail lights.
